What is UtsavSamithi?

It is a simple system for Ganesh mandapams and community committees to record donations and expenses, issue receipts, and show the community a clear financial summary.

Who can use it?

Any Ganesh mandapam, festival committee, temple committee, apartment association or community group that collects and spends money on behalf of others.

Can I record cash donations?

Yes. Cash, UPI, bank transfer, cheque and other methods are all supported, and each one is counted separately in your reports.

Can I record UPI donations?

Yes. Choose UPI as the payment method when recording the donation. UtsavSamithi records what you received; it does not collect payments for you.

Can I generate donation receipts?

Every donation gets a receipt with a unique number the moment you save it. You can print it, save it as a PDF, or share it — in English, Telugu or Hindi.

Can I upload expense bills?

Yes. Attach a PDF, JPG or PNG bill to any expense. Bills stay private and are never shown on your public page.

Can multiple committee members use it?

Yes. Invite your treasurer, secretary, volunteers and auditor. Each role sees only what it should.

Can an auditor access the records?

Yes. The Auditor role has read-only access to donations, expenses, documents, reports and the full audit trail, and cannot change anything.

Can the public see our financial information?

Only what you choose to publish. By default the public page shows totals and category summaries. Donor names, phone numbers, bills and notes are never public unless you deliberately turn them on.

Can I carry forward last year's balance?

Yes. When you create a new festival year, you can carry last year's closing balance forward as the new opening balance with one tap.

What happens when the committee changes?

Add the new members, remove the old ones and change roles as needed. Every past donation, expense, receipt and report stays exactly where it is, attached to the right festival year.

What happens if someone edits a financial record?

The change is recorded in the audit log with the old value, the new value, who made it, when, and the reason they gave. Financial records are never silently deleted.

Is my financial information secure?

Each mandapam is fully separated from every other. Every request checks that you are logged in, that you belong to that mandapam, and that your role allows the action.

Can I use Telugu?

Yes. The whole app, your receipts, your reports and your public page all work in Telugu. Switch language at any time.

Can I use Hindi?

Yes. Hindi works exactly the same way as English and Telugu, across the entire product.
