UtsavSamithi is software for running a festival committee: recording donations and expenses, issuing receipts, managing committee members, producing reports and publishing a financial transparency page.

It is a record-keeping platform. It is not an accountant, an auditor, or a provider of legal or tax advice, and nothing it produces is a substitute for professional advice.

Your samithi decides what to record and is responsible for the accuracy of it. We do not verify that a recorded donation was received, that an expense occurred, or that an uploaded bill is genuine.

Balances shown in the application are calculated from the entries your committee has made. If those entries are wrong, the totals will be wrong.

Donations recorded in UtsavSamithi belong to your samithi. [TO BE COMPLETED] is not the recipient of any donation and does not hold, collect or settle donation money on your behalf.

A donation is counted only once your committee confirms it. A payment reference entered by a donor is information, not proof of payment, and confirming it is your committee’s decision.

Each receipt carries a unique number within your samithi and the design in force when it was issued. Receipts are historical documents: changing your receipt design later does not alter receipts already issued.

Whether a receipt satisfies any particular tax, statutory or donor requirement is for your committee and its advisers to determine.

UtsavSamithi costs ₹499 per year for one samithi, with every feature included. Payment is processed by Razorpay. A subscription runs for one year from the date it is activated and does not renew automatically.

If a subscription lapses, your records are not deleted. Your committee keeps read access to everything already recorded — donations, expenses, receipts, reports, exports and the public transparency page — and cannot add new entries until the subscription is renewed.

You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.

Refunds are handled case by case. Write to [TO BE COMPLETED] and we will respond. We do not operate a published automatic-refund entitlement, and this section does not create one.

If your committee publishes a transparency page, it is published on your instruction and shows figures calculated from your own entries. Deciding what your samithi is required or expected to disclose is your committee’s responsibility.

• Do not use the platform to misrepresent how donated money was used
• Do not upload content you have no right to upload
• Do not attempt to access another samithi’s data
• Do not attempt to disrupt, probe or overload the service
• Do not use the platform for any unlawful purpose

Your committee is responsible for who it invites and what role it gives them. Keep credentials confidential, and remove members who leave the committee. Actions taken by a member are recorded against that member in the audit trail.

We work to keep the service available and the data safe, including regular backups, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from error.

To the extent permitted by law, [TO BE COMPLETED]’s total liability arising out of use of UtsavSamithi is limited to the subscription fees paid for the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for the accuracy of entries your committee makes, for decisions taken on the basis of reports, or for money handled outside the platform.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the application. Continuing to use the service after a change means the updated terms apply.
